Fairholme College is a respected independent school for girls, welcoming around 900 students from Kindergarten to Year 12, including a vibrant and diverse boarding community.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Boarding House Staff Member to join our residential team in Term 3, 2025. This is a full-time role, which includes regular overnight shifts, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of girls aged 11 to 18.

Experience in a school or residential setting is highly desirable, but we also welcome applicants from youth work, social care, or community support backgrounds.

Position Overview
A Boarding Supervisor is responsible to the Head of Boarding for day to day operational procedures in the Boarding House and works within a set roster during term time. Accommodation and meals are provided during the school term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be able to work as a member of a team involved in the wellbeing, supervision, safety and health of the Boarders.
- Maintain consistent and fair practices of behaviour management that are in keeping with the ethos of the College and have an alignment with a restorative approach to conflict resolution.
- Assist in promoting academic excellence for all Boarders to maximise their learning potential by assisting and encouraging a sound study environment, particularly by supervising Prep for Year 11 and 12 Boarders.
- Promote and lead effective and energetic leisure activities for the girls.
- Maintain and encourage attendance at church/chapel.
- Perform Boarding House office duties as required.
- Complete semester reporting for the girls in your care.
- Role model and reinforce to the girls high standards of behaviour, manners, dress and punctuality.

B. Qualifications
- Studies in education, nursing, social work or psychology would be advantageous to this position.
- A current ‘Blue Card’ is required,
- Current First Aid (or willingness to complete),
- Duty of Care Certificate Course in Student Residential Care would be advantageous to this position
C. Communication Skills

Selection Process
