The College
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Range escarpment in Australia's Garden City of Toowoomba, Fairholme College is one of Australia's leading independent girls' schools with around nine hundred students from Kindy to Year 12 and over two hundred boarders form part of the total enrolment.

The Position
Position: Accounts Receivable/Enrolment Support
Responsible To: Business Manager
Reports To: Administration Manager
Key Functional Relationships: Staff and Parents
The Person
We seek a committed, professional and appropriately qualified person wanting to join the College community in the important field of Accounts Receivable/Enrolment Support. The Accounts Receivable Officer works as part of the Business Team and Reports to the Administration Manager. The successful person will work Monday to Friday during Term Time and extra weeks during the school vacation time.
The Position
The ideal candidate will:
- Support positively the Christian ethos, values and mission of Fairholme College;
- Demonstrate attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and impeccable record-keeping skills;
- Have highly developed technological skills particularly in relation to the maintenance of data base software;
- Be experienced and skilled in working as part of a team with a diversity of personnel, yet equipped to work independently upon self-directed projects;
- Strong communication skills (both written and spoken) and a demonstrated background in positive liaison with colleagues;
- A background, working knowledge and understanding of administration and accounts receivable, preferably within a school environment;
- Well-developed computer skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
Specific Duties
Accounts Receivable (Debtors)
- Charging of student accounts
- Calculating, emailing, printing and mailing of invoices
- Queries from parents relating to their accounts via telephone, face to face and email
- Telephone credit card payment and processing of these payments
- Producing end of month reports
- Communicating with Parents to ensure accounts are paid in a timely manner.
Banking
- Preparing, allocating and inputting all data relating to daily receipts, payments, BPay and credit card payment into the appropriate software;
- Counting and balancing of cash.
Attending Main Reception
- Greet all people who enter the Administration office and direct them to the appropriate department or person as necessary;
- Attend to Student enquiries/messages;
- Attend to parent enquiries by telephone, forwarding them to the appropriate department as necessary;
- General office duties including – cash handling, use of EFTPOS machine, mail both incoming and outgoing and cash register;
- Answer the main telephone to the College;
- Administration support to other departments as required.
Enrolment Office
- Administration support to the Head of Enrolments;
- Database Management (Current and future families);
- File management (Current and future families).
Other Requirements
- A current blue card;
- The College may require the successful person to undertake other duties from time to time (subject to the person’s ability to perform such duties) and in keeping with their role.

- The ability to work collaboratively with work colleagues, and to communicate clearly and enthusiastically with staff, students, and families.

Workplace Health and Safety
As a member of the College, the successful applicant is required to follow all workplace, health and safety requirements that include but are not limited to:
- Adherence to and working knowledge of policy requirements;
- Cooperation with audit, professional learning and training/drill processes;
- Meticulous attention to reporting responsibilities and record-keeping obligations in relation to all workplace, health and safety matters.

Selection Process
