Dr Leigh Hobart - Principal

Dr Leigh Hobart joined the Fairholme community as Principal in April 2025, bringing more than 30 years of experience in education and school leadership.

A sixth-generation Toowoomba local, Leigh is deeply connected to the region and passionate about contributing to the Darling Downs community.

Her career has included key leadership roles across independent and state schools, most recently as Deputy Headmaster - Academic Performance and Innovation at Brisbane Boys’ College. With a strong focus on collaboration, student improvement and academic excellence, Leigh has led initiatives spanning from early years literacy to senior curriculum reform.

Dr Hobart holds a Doctorate in Education from QUT and a Master of Education, and has been actively involved in research, professional development, and teacher education accreditation.

She is committed to building learning communities where both students and staff can flourish - and believes in the power of education to transform lives leading to an improved society.
