Junior Curriculum & Learning

The theme of Greta Junior is to create a warm and inviting learning hub where girls can build, develop and be supported in their love of reading.

We believe that promoting a love of reading will give every girl the tools and life skills to become inquisitive, independent and successful learners and thinkers in the future.

The custom-designed space incorporates real and virtual environments, including:

  • Storytelling area,
  • Research area,
  • e-learning zone with computers for students to access a range of digital resources and learning programs, and…
  • Spaces for individuals and small groups to enjoy reading, playing and learning.

Greta Junior is a place for the girls to build upon their knowledge and skills in areas ranging from technology and robotics to higher-order thinking projects.

An extensive and high-quality collection of literature for parents is also available to borrow from Greta Junior. Themes range from raising teenagers to dealing with anxiety in children. Also, a collection of picture books are available; these picture books are often written by child psychologists, and provide a gentle approach to discussing complex subjects with little ones.

A love of literature and a focus on reading to learn is encouraged and explored in weekly library lessons.
