Enrol at Fairholme
How to make an enrolment application at Fairholme College - In three steps.
1. Application for Enrolment
This form is to be accompanied by:
- An application fee;
- A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, passport or extract;
- A copy of the applicant’s most recent school report or similar indicator of school progress; and…
- NAPLAN results (Australian students);
- Full disclosure of any Learning Enhancement (Support or Enrichment) requirements.
This application for enrolment form is the first part of the enrolment contract between the parents/ guardian of the student and Fairholme College. When it is lodged, a non-refundable application fee of $110.00 ($132.00 International student) is payable.
The student’s name is then added to the list of entry in the year and level nominated. When the student’s name is reached, an interview with the Principal or Head of Junior School, is then arranged. The College reserves the right to refuse any enrolment and/or to cancel any enrolment for a student where the College believes, in its absolute dicretion, that it is unable to provide the requisite level of facilities and service for the education and care of the student. If the College exercises this right it is not required to provide any reason for doing so. The parents and student understand and acknowledge that attending an interview or participation in the enrolmment process does not constitute acceptance of the student’s application.
Following a sucessful interview, a fomal offer of a place at the College is mae to the student and a non-refundable Entrance Fee of $500.00 ($400.00 for Kindy boys) is immediately payable to accept the offer. If the offer is not accepted within seven (7) days of being made, the College reserves the unfettered right to withdraw the offer and in that event any fees paid to the College are forfeited. Once paid, the enrolment is formally confirmed and the enrolment contract is complete.
On the first Saturday of the September school holidays, in the year prior to entry, all new Middle and Senior School students, are brought together for an Orientation morning.
New boarders are also invited to stay in the Boarding House with their families the night before. During Orientation, all remaining information such as subject choices, medical and boarding information is collected and Learning Enhancement students are interviewed.
Uniforms and books are made available at the Fairholme HOLMEStore › New Kindy, Prep and Junior School students will be advised of a separate Orientation morning or evening.
Boarding students arrive at the College the day prior to classes starting and settle into the Boarding House. A welcome session is held for new Day students on the day prior to classes resuming. Timetables and any other relevant information is given to the girls in the first Pastoral Care Group (PCG) meeting by their PCG teacher. Fairholme Kindy and Junior students also arrive on the morning of the new term, with class teachers providing any necessary information to students and parents.
