2019 'Facets of Fairholme' Art Exhibition | Artists in Conversation Breakfast

As a part of the ‘Facets’ Exhibition, an Artists in Conversation Breakfast was held on Saturday, 1 June in the Assembly Hall. As guests sat amongst the Art on display and enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast prepared by East Street Caterers, they were able to enjoy listening to our wonderful panel of Artists as share their artistic journeys and the inspiration that underpins their practice. Panellists included Anna BARTLETT, Dan ELBORNE, Katrina GOLDSWORTHY and Sue LOSTROH. Our Master of Ceremonies, Helen LANGE, seamlessly guided the conversation, revealing the shared interests in visual expression from the four stylistically different artists. Moments of golden conversation left audience members inspired, uplifted and sincerely moved by the personal revelations that have led these artists to create their works and express ideas about the world. Thank you to our panel of Artists and audience members for making this yet another memorable event!

Exhibition Background

In 2017, Fairholme College, (a College of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland), celebrated ‘100 Years At Fairholme’ and as a part of the festivities to mark this exciting milestone, an inaugural Art Exhibition, the ‘Facets of Fairholme’, was held at the College. Following on from the success of this boutique exhibition, plans are underway to host another such event in 2019.

The intent of the ‘Facets of Fairholme’ Art Exhibition is to offer Artists, Students and audience members a shared platform in which to intellectually engage in the expression of lateral thought and current arts practices, by exploring human experiences and encouraging, challenging and provoking new ways of connecting and appreciating the world around us.
