The Boarder Support Group seeks to support the school in its aim to create a safe, nurturing and enjoyable ‘home away from home’ for our boarder girls.
The Boarder Support Group also represents an important communication link between boarders, their families and the school. The Boarder Parents’ Support Group meet regularly and is actively involved in working with staff to make the students’ time at the College a happy and rewarding experience.
Like the P&F, the Boarder Support Group also provides a friend-raising and networking forum for parents. Current boarder parents are involved in the BSG Boarder Parent Ambassador Program, assisting at College Orientation days etc., supporting new boarding families’ transition into the Fairholme ‘family’. At times, this group assists in P&F fundraising activities most notably, its long tradition of running the Boarder Cent sale at the annual Spring Fair.
Parents are invited to attend meetings held at the commencement of Terms 2, 3 & 4 at 12.30pm (cup of tea and light lunch available from 12pm).
