Equestrian Success

The 2016 Pryde’s EasiFeed Interschool Queensland State Championships were held at the Toowoomba Showgrounds during the holidays.

Fairholme’s Equestrian team shivered through some very cold competition, entering in Dressage, Showhorse, Showman and Showjumping.

Meg Gillan (Captain), Alicia Freeman, Alissa Woods, Amilia Schooley, Camille Fitton, Mia Doering, Pheobe Riordan, Bree Robertson, Lauren Bougoure and Becky Gillan mustn’t have felt the cold. The girls all performed exceptionally well, and as a result Fairholme will now be well represented at the National Championships with Alicia, Meg, Becky, Phoebe and Amilia automatically qualifying through their overall placings.

The Showjumping Team, which included Becky, Meg, Amilia and Lauren, were crowned the champion team in the Secondary School competition.

Alicia Freeman was crowned the Reserve Champion in Medium Dressage.

Congratulations to the girls and we wish you all the best at the next event – the Combined Training and Eventing State Championships at Burpengary at the end of the month.
