Realising dreams and developing skills

Targeted at children of Defence Families and Year 10 and 11 students from across Queensland, the RSL Youth Development Program provides assistance with the pursuit of sporting, academic and community projects.

RSL (Queensland Branch) and Bond University are committed to fostering relationships with youth and this program helps encourage them to realise their dreams and further develop their skills.

In order to apply for the grant, Samantha was required to pen an essay about the importance of the RSL and ANZAC values to Australia’s youth. Sam thoroughly enjoyed the busy one day program at Bond University which focused on resilience.

As a recipient, Samantha will also have an exclusive opportunity to apply for a scholarship worth 50 per cent of tuition fees to study either a single or combined degree at Bond University on the completion of high school.
