'Leading the way' in Carriage Driving

Sophia Williams recently competed (in what has grown to be a thriving competitive equestrian event, at the National ACDS (Australian Carriage Driving Society) Championships in Toowoomba. Sophia ‘drove’ exceptionally well and was announced as champion of the Junior Whip class.

The pony that Sophia would normally have competed with was forced out due to injury and as a result Sophia borrowed a pony for the event, thus making it an even bigger thrill to take out the championships, with judges praising her natural talent.

Prior to her National success, Sophia competed in the Queensland ACDS State Championships, held on 6 September, at Jimboomba. Sophia also took out the Junior Champion Whip category during this competition and placed well in all her harness classes. No doubt, we will hear more of Sophia’s successes in the near future!
