Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

Outside School Hours Care has been in operation since 1997. It is available for students from Prep to Year 6. After School Care is located in the Fairholme Prep building on the corner of Bridge and Wirra Wirra Streets. The After School Program operates Monday to Friday from 2.45 pm to 6.00 pm.

OSHC offers a program in a child centred environment where children are able to develop and be extended at a rate that is appropriate for their specific needs. The program is child focused where fun and enjoyment are seen as important aspects. The afternoon is divided into a series of activities including afternoon tea, homework, outside play, inside play, a craft activity and quiet time. These activities promote developmentally socially and culturally appropriate learning opportunities.

Fees (2010)

Permanents: $54.00 per week
Casuals: $6.00 per half hour or
$17.00 per afternoon

Late Fee: $10.00 per 5 minutes or part thereof after 6.00 pm

Categories
Permanent Basis: full time – 5 days per week.
Regular Casual: on specific days weekly, may change each term.
Occasional attendance.

Regulations
Parents are to sign their children out of After School Care each day. Parents are required to sign the sheet as they collect their child/children from Outside School Hours Care.

Registration
To attend Outside School Hours Care, register your name as a permanent user, or to indicate regular days of use, please contact the Outside School Care Co-ordinator on 4688 4659 between 3.00 pm – 6.00 pm or Ms Helen Rasmussen, Deputy Head of Fairholme Junior on 4688 4647.

We are registered as a Childcare Provider for the purpose of the Commonwealth Childcare Benefit Scheme (CCB). The Centre Service Provider No is 555 012 130A.
