Scholarships at Fairholme College
Fairholme College is a traditional, independent girls' day and boarding school, founded as the privately owned Spreydon College in 1908, brought under Presbyterian patronage in 1909, bought by the Church and renamed Presbyterian Ladies' College in 1915, and re-located to Fairholme in 1917.
The College is operated on Christian principles by the Presbyterian Church of Queensland. It is situated on the Range escarpment in the dress circle of Australia's Garden City, Toowoomba. The enrolment of over 800 girls includes 240 boarders.
Girls are enrolled as day students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and as boarders from Year 6. Day boys are enrolled for Kindergarten and Prep.

Fairholme College requires that all applicants and their families support its mission and ethos. One scholarship is reserved for a girl whose parents are members of the Isolated Children's Parents' Association. While parents are invited to apply for more than one type of scholarship/remission, each student can be awarded only one scholarship/remission.

Applications for the 2010 Scholarship Exam (for 2011 admission) have now closed. Details of the 2011 Scholarship Exam (for 2012 admission) will be posted here in early 2011.

General Fee Remission
General Fee Remission are awarded to students who demonstrate all round ability and special talents in a particular area, such as music or sport.
Applicants are expected to have the potential to maintain the high standards of the College.
Applications may be made on the appropriate form available from the College at any time in the year before entry and will close at the beginning of Term 4 of that year.
Fee Remissions
In an attempt to bring a Fairholme education within the reach of the widest possible number of girls, the College offers several Fee Remissions to girls who, because of their family's financial situation, would otherwise be unable to attend Fairholme.
Applications may be made on the appropriate form available from the College at any time in the year before entry.
