Cross-Country:
The season is now well and truly upon us and our girls have been training and racing hard. Last week our Primary girls competed at the Andrew’s Cup event in Ipswich.
All girls ran well; we finished eighth overall and third in the Percentage Cup. Chloe Randall won the 9yrs event and Sophie Walker finished 3rd. Other top ten finishers were Briana Suey (9th - 11yrs) and Amilia Schooley (9th - 12yrs). Last Friday we took 45 runners to the Canterbury College Meet in Brisbane. Again, all girls ran very well. Medalists were: 1st - Jessie Harper (Open) and Mackenzie Andrews (16yrs); 2nd - Ruby Elliott (Open); and 3rd - Alice Rathie (16yrs).
Further upcoming events are: Tuesday 28 May - DD Regional Cross-Country, Kearney’s Spring, Spring Street, from 8.30am. Good luck to all! Many thanks to our coaches Brigitte Powell, Clare Cattanach and Jess Cantle.
Futsal:
We have nominated 14, 16 and 19yrs teams to compete at the Vikings SWQ School Championships in Toowoomba and Gatton next week. Good luck!
Equestrian:
Congratulations to our Equestriennes. It was fantastic to see so many of them competing at the DD Championships in Toowoomba last weekend.
Trophy winners were: Phoebe Riordan - Champion Primary Showjumper; Loretta Morris - Overall Supreme Champion Secondary Showjumper; Tory Robertson - Champion Showman 60cm Class; and Bree Robertson - Champion Showman 45cm Class. Our Showman Team of Maitie Webb, Tory Robertson and Bree Robertson finished a very close second. A big thank you to our Coordinator, Jane Davis, and our Captain, Maitie Webb. Representative Athletes:
Congratulations to Ms. Gierke! She was Assistant Coach of the Queensland Schoolgirls 19yrs Softball team who won the National Championships in Perth last week.
Congratulations and good luck to the following athletes who have gained selection in Darling Downs teams that will compete at upcoming State Titles: DD Netball - Katie Lowe and Ally Gee; DD Hockey - Anita Brits and Selena McIntyre. Congratulations to the following girls who recently competed in State Titles and were selected in Queensland Teams: Touch - Georgina Rackemann and Dominique Du Toit.

Basketball:
Congratulations and thank you to the girls who represented the school in the annual Maccas Cup last weekend. Even though we did not win a game we won lots of fans through our never give up spirit. Many thanks to our coaches Emma Elsden and Kacey Weber.
Tennis:
Good luck to our tennis players and our coach Gavin Wright. We play the first round of QSS Teams Cup this week. This is a knockout competition culminating in State Finals in Rockhampton in September.
Orienteering:

Volleyball:
The DD Schools Cup is coming up on the weekend of Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June. We wish our teams and coaches well.
