At Fairholme College we acknowledge the difficult decision involved in sending your daughter to Boarding School and pride ourselves on providing a friendly, supportive and understanding environment. We know that for most of our Fairholme boarder parents the choice to send their daughter away is necessitated by their rural or remote location.
As such, it is our mission to ‘think’ like a Boarding School and, as one of the largest in Australia, it is important that we do so. By creating safe and caring environment for our 240 boarders - comfortable and relaxed yet stimulating surroundings where girls can grow and learn, we aim to provide a home away from home.
Going to boarding school gives children the opportunity to make friends with people their own age in a nurturing and supportive community. As well as academic studies, girls may participate in sporting and cultural pursuits and in the Boarding House, acquire the skills of negotiation, co-operation and sharing, all which contribute to developing the whole person.
