Year 11 Subject Selection for 2013

All students in Year 11 study nine subjects. This comprises five core subjects and four electives.

English or English Communication, Mathematics A or Mathematics B, or Workplace Maths, Christian Education, Physical Education and Life Skills are compulsory core subjects.

Moreover, in Year 12, students will also be involved in the Queensland Core Skills Test practice.

Subject selection

When choosing subjects, the following points should be kept firmly in mind:
Choose subjects…

  1. In which you are confident you will do well;
  2. Which you believe you will enjoy and gain some personal satisfaction;
  3. Which will help you meet subject pre-requisite requirements for realistic tertiary goals;
  4. Which will assist you to enter a vocational career; and…
  5. Which will give you skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for strong personal development.
